highlights from a recent trip to atlanta

This week I went to Atlanta for a few of focus group sessions led by our ad agency. It was the first time I'd been to this city in 23 years. I know the years specifically because my last visit was for the Olympics. Nothing this trip topped that experience, but I had fun nonetheless.

A collage on a coffee stand in the Ponce Market caught my eye. Ironically, I completely missed this coffee company (Stiller) on my first pass through the market, even though I was explicitly looking for it.

Ponce Market is relatively new and has, so I'm told, completely revitalized this area.

Tacos: falafel and Nashville-style hot tofu at Velvet Taco

Church-organ karaoke at Sister Louisa's was a gd delight.

Everything about St. Louisa's was blasphemously fun, even walking up the steps to the "living room."

Couldn't pass up a photo of my hometown's namesake eating red velvet cake.
