wallpapers for productivity and inspiration

Confession: I have a secret obsession with wallpaper.

Not the kind that goes, you know, walls, but the digital sort—for your phone, computer, tablet, etc.

This obsession manifests itself most often when in search of new wallpaper. Nothing out there satisfies my intense need for simplicity, bold colors, and inspirational (but not cheesy) quotes.

So I make my own.
When a few co-workers noticed and then drooled over my desktop wallpaper, it struck me that others might be interested in them too. (And yes, I'm aware of how nerdy and corny this is, but I'm 38 and I don't care anymore.)

For the desktop wallpaper below, I use the boxes to organize my desktop, as I'm usually quickly overrun with screenshots, project folders, report and white paper downloads, photos, etc.

Go ahead, save the image and use it for your desktop. It's free!
I wanted these Android wallpapers to allow space for my app dock, search bar, and notifications center. But I also wanted to add something from my favorite writers and thinkers that would make me pause occasionally in consideration.
